We Connected Right Away
I have always known that I wanted to marry someone who was disabled like myself. I didn’t want a husband who was going to feel sorry for me or do things for me, and there are things about being disabled that only another disabled person can understand. But I lived in a small town, and I didn’t know any other disabled people. So when I was ready to start dating, I looked in disabled chat rooms. It may seem crazy, but that is where I found my husband. He, too, was looking for a disabled soul-mate, and he understood me completely. We connected right away.
