How I learned to play guitar on my own
When I got my first guitar I didn’t really want to take private guitar lessons. I was eager to learn songs I knew, but my friends that took lessons all said it would take a couple of months before I’d learn to play any songs at all. This kind of discouraged me, and I left my guitar alone for a couple of months. It wasn’t until my parents gave me a guitar home study course named Learn and master guitar that I got back into playing and wanting to learn on my own. While the course did start with the basics and the boring stuff I wasn’t interested in learning it also contained lots of bonus materials such as a printed work book and 10 jam along cds I could practice with.
