There are many things to do down there such as visit the historic part of Wilmington where you can walk around some of the beautiful neighborhoods and look at some of the older, preserved houses. There are also many bed and breakfast inns in that area, which have gotten a lot of great reviews. In the morning, you can have tea or coffee at one of the local tea cafes that overlooks the river. Interested in boating and waterworks? Feel free to visit the battleship or take a ferry ride around the river. You can even dine on the water.
