Treating gout with cherries

The United States Department of Agriculture recently did a study into the effects of eating fresh Bing cherries to relieve the effects of gout attacks.  They concluded that there was some proof that they helped to remove the uric acid from the blood and to help prevent future attacks or make them less severe.  While this is awaiting FDA analysis, so it is not an approved treatment, it is a completely natural way of treating gout which you do not need a prescription or permission for.  Just nip down to the local market and grab yourself some cherries, try to eat a handful per day for 30 days and see the effect it has on your gout.
