A way of faxing that is faster and more secure than a traditional fax is email faxing. First of all, faxed documents come into your email as message attachments. The recipient is able to read it on the computer or with a specialized fax reading program.
Second, the faxes actually are received by the recipient. There is no fax machine sitting out there where just anyone walking by can get the fax. Personal information can be faxed without the worry of others getting their fingers on the confidential information.
Email programs even give out fax numbers dedicated to the faxing process, and not for phone use.
