Part Time is Better Than No Time
With finding a job after being laid off becoming more and more difficult, we need to explore all our options before assuming we’ll just be stuck jobless for a while. Early last year I was laid off from my Assistant Manager’s position at a major retail company. I had been there for years and was very upset, wondering what I was going to do and if I would be able to find a job with the same pay and benefits in the same field. I had never considered part time employment before, but when I couldn’t pay my bills and a job like my last one was not in sight, I had to do something. Taking that part time job turned out to be a great move. It turned into full time, and I am now in line for an even better job, with great pay!
