Life Lessons - And Other Stuff
I owe any business success I have to one very unusual woman.
Soon after I graduated from college a friend introduced me to his mother, an older woman who wore strange hats, masculine-looking shoes, and did what she wanted. She had an MBA and was a certified financial planner.
Her office was tiny and low-rent and she never bought anything. She believed in renting when possible, and was a big fan of office equipment leasing.
When we first met I thought she was too eccentric to take seriously - until I found out her net worth. She was a millionaire many times over.
I still practice many of the techniques she taught me and have followed in her footsteps in almost all ways.
But not the clothes.
