Don’t Break the Rules

Internet marketing is on the rise, and why shouldn’t it be?  Today, more people than ever are using the Internet as their mains source of communication, shopping and business advertising.  With all of that being said, many may be wondering what the rules for electronic marketing are.  For the most part, electronic marketing, or Internet marketing is very similar to other forms of marketing and advertising.  We have to appeal to the consumer by persuading them to use a service or buy a product, etc.  However, we cannot and should not mislead them in any way.  If you do this, you will more than likely have the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on your trail!  The FTC holds web designers and advertising agencies responsible for reviewing marketing information to make sure that it is truthful.  Our duties, first and foremost, are to make sure we are ethical in everything we do when it comes to satisfying consumer needs.
